The activities of the first evening of her life were simple: being held, sleeping, pooping, and drinking. She would make little baby noises (eh, ah), gently move her limbs, and cry. That's about all she could do (which is pretty good considering she had never done 5 of those things before).
Today she plays with toys all by herself, can identify several animals, speed-walks, carries large objects across the room, feeds herself with utensils, eats a wide variety of foods, sleeps 12 hours every night, plays peek-a-boo, and best of all -- she knows and loves her mommy & daddy.
Parenting is an amazing journey that can truly best be appreciated by those who have been through it before. It is hard. It is wonderful. It is sad. It is stretching. But it is good.
I love my little girl.
