Staying at home: a cultural or moral dilemma?

I was encouraged today by playgroup moms (mentioned in this previous post) who unanimously confessed that they are *wait for it* not happy with just staying at home with no job when it comes to parenting.

Considering that I was beginning to think that I'm the only one who internally struggles with the prospect of the SAHM life, this news was a big relief.

Anyway, one mom said "The pressure to stay at home is entirely a cultural issue, and not a moral one." This piqued my curiosity. While I have my own thoughts, I was wondering: Do you think she is right or wrong?
